Events and Literary Festivals

www.inkwellwriters.ie Vanessa O’Loughlinn runs very comprehensive workshops and weekends for writers. I am one of her speakers and workshop facilitators. She has a wide range of speakers on her courses, from uber agent Marianne Gunn O’Connor, to crime writer Alex Barclay and romance writer, Claudia Carroll.
www.westcorkliteraryfestival.ie A wonderfully eclectic festival in Bantry, West Cork one of the most beautiful spots in the world. I’m giving a week long workshop on commercial fiction during the festival.

www.bibliofemme.com An excellent site for anyone who loves books. Lots of honest and helpful reviews of all kinds of books, from romantic fiction, to ‘lit lite’ and crime. Also has a message board and lots of interesting forums. Highly recommended.

 

Children’s Books

www.achuka.co.uk One of the best children’s book sites around. Packed full of great reviews, articles and all the latest news from the kiddi lit world. Edited by Michael Thorn who really knows his stuff, and a must for any children’s book enthusiasts.
www.childrensbooksireland.com A site all about the Irish children’s book world. Details of the Children’s Book Festival events which happen every October and the Bisto Award.
